Process optimisation for manufacturers
More good product from the same people and machines. I analyse your processes with Lean Six Sigma, tackle the biggest losses and make sure the improvement sticks.
Typical challenges
- OEE fluctuates and nobody knows exactly where the losses are.
- Breakdowns and minor stops eat into capacity.
- Every shift works in its own way.
- Improvement projects start with enthusiasm, then fade away.
Data-driven, but on the shop floor
I work according to the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC structure: define, measure, analyse, improve and control. The difference is in the execution. I stand next to the line, talk to operators and technicians, and test improvements in practice before they become standard.
- Map the losses: OEE analysis, downtime Pareto, value stream.
- Find the cause: root cause analysis instead of assumptions.
- Improve: SMED, standardisation, Kaizen actions with the team.
- Sustain: work instructions, visual management and KPIs the team tracks itself.
Proven in practice
At Philips Drachten I cut changeover times by 80% and structurally reduced product rejects without extra investment. In Riga I led the start-up and stabilisation of a 20-machine production line. View all projects.
Frequently asked questions
What is process optimisation in a manufacturing environment?
Process optimisation is the systematic analysis and improvement of production processes, so that the same people and machines produce more good product. Think less downtime, fewer rejects, shorter lead times and more stable performance.
Which methods do you use?
Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC), SMED, root cause analysis, OEE analysis, Kaizen and standardisation. The method is not a goal in itself: I choose what fits the problem and your organisation.
Do you also work as an interim engineer?
Yes. Alongside consultancy projects, I also work as an interim CI or process engineer within your team.
